The Draw Text command enables you to add text to the map and to label existing features. Click Red text icon.PNG to start text redlining.

After clicking on the command, the corresponding form is displayed on the construction aid, which is located on the top-right of the user interface:

In the Text field, you can specify the display text of the label. In the Angle text field, you can set the orientation of the text by specifying a degree value. The text can be plotted at intervals of the value specified in the text box. The angle-based orientation only comes into effect when the Lock activated.png command is turned on. The command can be enabled by clicking on the Lock deactivated.png command. Unlocking the angle functionality enables you to arrange the orientation of the text loosely with the mouse.

To draw the text on the map, click on the map and then you can specify the orientation of the text by dragging the mouse in a designated direction.

Blue.pngThe default anchorpoint of the text is center/center.
