System requirements
Computer/Processor Server side: minimum dual-core >1 GHz


Client side: minimum 1 GHz

Memory (RAM) Server side: minimum 4 GB available for GMSC


Client side: minimum 300 MB available for GMSC

Disk Space Server side: 250 MB for application

Additional disk space requirements vary depending on the amount of geodata

Operating System Server side:
  • Windows® Server 2008 SP2 (64-bit)
  • Windows® Server 2008 R2 (64-bit)
  • Windows® Server 2012 (64-bit)
  • Windows® Server 2012 R2 (64-bit)


Client side:
Any operating system certified for Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version >= 1.7.45
For example:

  • Windows® XP SP2 or higher (32-bit and 64-bit)
  • Windows® Vista SP1 (32-bit and 64-bit)
  • Windows® 7 SP1 (32-bit and 64-bit)
  • Windows® 8 (32-bit and 64-bit)

Graphics Displays Intergraph recommends a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 or better with 24-bit color
Peripherals Server side: Access to DVD drive


Client side: Mouse or pen for geographical data input

Tablet requirements
In general there the same requirements than the Client side as above mentioned.
Input device Digitizer is recommended for input for tablets.



If you want to use BingMaps and WMTS on the client side your graphic card must be supported by JavaFX hardware acceleration. To check if your graphic card does, download the following JNLP file (http://smartclient.intergraph.at/gmsc/graphiccardvalidator/graphiccardvalidator.jnlp).
If you will see the following screenshot by opening the JNLP file everything is good for you.
