Click on the command to start with the redlining process. In the construction aid, on the top-right of the user interface, a corresponding form opens where you can specify buffer-relevant parameters:
In the Distance text box, you can specify the buffer distance from the feature you want to draw the buffer around:
|5m distance from feature||10m distance from feature|
In the Lineend combo box, you can select whether you want to have a buffer with a squared or a round line end:
|Squared buffer line end||Round buffer line end|
In the Linejoin combobox, you can select whether you want to join single buffer segments or not:
In the Alignment combobox, you can select on which side you want to draw the buffer (left, right, or on both sides):
|Right alignment||Left alignment||Both sides|
After specifying the buffer parameters, you can create the buffer by clicking on the feature where you want to draw the buffer around. When the Featureclass selection window opens, select the corresponding feature class and click OK.
The buffer will then be drawn around the feature according to the parameters specified in the construction aid.
